The Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL) has been requested by theSwedish National Chemicals Inspectorate (KEML) to conduct a literature review concerning risk assessment of phthalic esters used as plastic additives. The review has been fully financed by the Swedish National Chemicals Inspectorate. The risk assessment is evaluated with regard to ecotoxicological similarities and differences between the four phthalic esters DEHP, DINP, DIDP and 610P.
