The report updates the activities and plans of the three Project CAREsubcontractors for the State of Massachusetts. The Somerville/Cambridge Area Agency on Aging (AAA) will maintain the program and continue to confront the challenges, primarily the denial that accompanies substance abuse and how it relates to the Long-Term Care system. Elder Services of Merrimack Valley AAA will increase access to existing Long-Term care programs and implement additional services. The Greater Springfield Senior Services AAA has contracted with the Urban League of Springfield to develop and administer Project CARE.
