Meeting the Needs and Challenges of At-Risk, Two-Generation, Elderly Families

摘要

The purpose of this manual is to provide information about the needs of at-risktwo-generation elderly families, those where the parents are caregivers for an aging son or daughter with mental retardation still living at home. The manual describes how community coalitions can be developed to reach out to these families to help them obtain the supports and services they need as they age. The manual describes varied experiences of chapters of The Arc in creating coalitions. It also provides information on helping families do future planning.
