Magnetic Properties of Three Fe-Based Nanocrystalline Soft Magnetic Alloys.

The magnetic properties of newly developed nanocrystalline alloys Fe72.5Cu1Nb1.5V4Si13B8, FE75Cu1Nb0.5Mo2.5SI13B8 and and Fe74.8Cu1Nb1.5W1.7Si13B8 are reported and compared with those of the nanocrystalline Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9,Fe73.1Cu1.2Nb3.2Si12.5B10, superior Mn-Zn Ferrite and Superalloy. Three new alloys exhibit superior soft magnetic properties showing high initial permeability, low coercivity and low core loss. Core losses of the new alloys are lower than those of the superior Mn-Zn Ferrite C4H7 in the frequency range up to 500 KHz under higher amplitude flux density.
