Methods and Techniques for Object-Oriented Analysis and Design

In recent years a flood of new methods for object-oriented analysis and design ofsoftware has appeared. In the report an overview of the principles behind these methods and a comparison of a number of up-to-date methods will be presented. For each of the methods discussed, a short characterization of the diagrams and notations used, a description of already known problems with the method and an overview of available tools will be given. The report concludes with a recommendation on how to introduce object oriented methods in a practical situation.
