NPDES Self-Monitoring Data and Data Audit Inspections (DAIs)

This document is intended to summarize the procedures for conducting a Data AdultInspection and to provide useful guidance for permit writers, state inspectors, EPA inspectors, and permittees to help assure NPDES self-monitoring data integrity. This document also provides information on numerous data related topics, e.g., 'greater than-values', 'inacceptable QC', and includes a listing of suggestions for additional data related items to be included in NPDES permits and/or the 40 CFR Pat 136.
