摘要

Within the framework of the ISNaS project a tree-dimensional multi-block multi-zone compressible Navier-Stokes flow solver has been developed by NLR and University of Twente. This solver SOLEQS has been vectorized in order to improve its performance. For further improvement of the performance, the parallelization of this solver has been used. As SOLEQS is a multi-block solver it bears a natural parallelism in it. The parallelization of SOLEQS is based on the multi-block concept and consists of: Distribution over the processors of the blocks. Execution of the calculations of each block on the processor to which it was assigned. Communication between adjacent blocks which reside on different processors is performed by using message passing (PVM 3.2.6).
