Patterns of Fluid Phase Behaviour in Binary and Quasi-Binary Mixtures (Patronenvan Fluiede Fasengedrag in Binaire en Quasi-Binaire Mengsels)

摘要

The objective of this thesis is the systematic investigation of some of thedifferent types of fluid phase behavior and the transitions between them in binary and quasi-binary systems. This objective is achieved by selected experiments, guided by a literature survey, and dedicated calculations, using specially developed algorithms. The results are interpreted either on the basis of molecular considerations, or just phenomenologically. At the end a quantitative correlation on the results is attempted.
