Community Based Confident Living Programs for At-Risk Elderly with Sensory Losses

摘要

The goal of this project is to enhance the independence of older adults withvision and/or hearing losses. In order to do this, the project has developed a replicable model program that will provide older adults experiencing hearing and/or vision loss with an opportunity to learn coping strategies, gain support and become linked to local service providers. To achieve the project goal, three tasks were accomplished: develop and conduct a model community based Confident Living Program, assist in the replication of the Confident Living Program, and develop and disseminate materials that will facilitate replication of the Confident Living Program.
