摘要

The lean burn engine operates at significantly higher efficiencies thanstoichiometric engines. Lean combustion occurs at lower temperatures relating to lower NOx generation during combustion. This advantage in lean burn technology, with respect to natural gas fuel engines, demonstrates the advantages in both performance, fuel economy, and emissions control, which would be attractive to both fleet operator and emissions regulator.
