PennDOT/MAUTC Partnership Project Task 5: Evaluation of Customer InformationNeeds and Cost-Effective Delivery Systems for Pennsylvania's Highway Welcome Centers

The purpose of this project was to determine the information needs of the highwaytraveler (visitor and resident) in Pennsylvania, develop and/or assemble a variety of alternative programs and/or technologies that can best deliver these information needs in a cost-effective manner, assess the traveling consumers' reactions to and potential uses of different information delivery systems, and to outline a demonstration project to carry out field tests of the preferred information systems.
