摘要

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the possibility of using alcoholoxidoreductases as catalyst in the kinetic resolution of racemic mixtures of alcohols. Therefore, a screening was performed to determine the enantioselectivity in the oxidation of a number of chiral alcohols by alcohol dehydrogenases (ADH's) and oxidases. In view of the availability of and know-how on quinoprotein (pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ)-containing) alcohol dehydrogenases (Q-ADH's) in the authors' laboratory, the attention was especially focussed on these enzymes.
