Soda ash production data are collected by the U.S. Bureau of Mines from monthly, quarterly, and annual voluntary surveys of U.S. soda ash operations. Of the six soda ash operations to which a survey request was sent, all responded, representing 100% of the total production data shown in the report. Reported consumption data by end use are collected quarterly from the marketing and sales departments of each company within the industry.
