Aircraft Management Studies Air Tour Passengers Survey

Public Law 100-91, the National Parks Overflight Act, directed the National ParkService to establish a research program to determine the impacts and benefits of aircraft flying over units of the National Park System. As part of the National Park Service's research program to address the mandate of Public Law 100-91, a study of passengers taking air tour sightseeing flights over National Park Service areas was conducted. The document reports the findings from a survey of air tour passengers who have taken sightseeing flights over Grand Canyon National Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, or Haleakala National Park. The executive summary presents the major findings and conclusions from the air tour passenger survey.
