Analysis of Transient Electromagnetic Fields in an Electrical Utility SubstationEnvironment

The thesis deals with a basic type of electromagnetic interference problem. Incasu is investigated the interaction between travelling pulsed sources and a susceptible system in the form of a two-wire transmission line, both located in the upper half space of a two-media configuration. Time domain field solutions for the direct field and the reflected field have been found for a travelling pulsed electric current in an arbitarily oriented short, straight wire as a canonical element of an interfering circuit.
