Otitis media with effusion is one of the most common problems of infancy andearly childhood and is responsible for substantial morbidity and expense. The process of developing clinical practice guidelines includes an opportunity for the public to present their points of view and materials to substantiate any claims that are being made on a particular procedure or treatment used. This appendix provides the written testimony presented at the public forum on May 18, 1992.
