The report is organized to examine relevant research categorized as follows:ethnographies and case studies of occupation and career formation in high school; ethnographies and case studies of formal workplace-based learning; and ethnographies and case studies of semi-formal and informal workplace-based learning. These categories are useful in assisting policy makers and others who may desire to target specific aspects of youths' career and occupational development and experience.
