摘要

The primary objective of the present project is to obtain improved estimates ofstatic mechanical properties (which are difficult and expensive to obtain) from relatively inexpensive dynamic (wireline) measurements. In addition to differences between static and dynamic moduli, the authors' data clearly quantifies other non-linear elastic behavior such as hysteresis in stress-strain curves and variations in moduli with stress and strain amplitude. The mechanisms and origin of these non-linearities is discussed in some detail in this report.
