Infrared heating has been applied in paper manufacturing primarily for coatingand profiling applications. Natural gas infrared heating technologies have not been widely applied due to a lack of understanding of potential benefits. An assessment of benefits was made for two metal fiber infrared heating units installed on a corrugated medium from waste paper machine.
