Cut-outs in pressurized aircraft fuselages are very sensitive to fatigue. Thisexplains the need for a design tool to enable the designer to perform a comprehensive design of this 'difficult' structure. A menu-driven, interactive system for the design of cut-outs in pressurized fuselages is described. The design system is set up in such way that maximum use is made of commercially available software.
