Incomplete Corrections with Selfadjoint Operators

Incomplete iterations for a linear system with contractive selfadjoint operatoris considered. Also the correcting operators are assumed to be selfadjoint. Sufficient conditions for convergence are given and by an example it is shown that the essential part of these conditions cannot be weakened. (Copyright (c) 1995 by Helsinki University of Technology.)
