Hypermedia Reference System to the Forest Ecosystem Management Assessment TeamReport and Some Related Publications

The hypermedia system, ForestEM, was developed in HyperWriter for use inMicrosoft Windows. ForestEM version 1.0 includes text and figures from the FEMAT report and the Record of Decision and Standards and Guidelines. Hypermedia introduces two fundamental changes to knowledge management. The first is the capability to interactively store and retrieve large amounts of different types of information such as text, graphics, voice, and video. The second fundamental change concerns new abilities to share information. Hyperdocuments, once begun, can be expanded and improved iteratively.
