Acoustic Transient Signal Transfer between Two Fluid-Filled Boreholes Embedded ina Horizontally Stratified Anisotropic Elastic Formation

In this paper, we present a method by which the transfer of transient tube-wavesignals in cross-hole experiments can completely be calculated within a specified time window of observation. The major part of the analysis is performed in the spectral domain via an appropriate combination of a Laplace transformation with respect to time and Fourier transformations with respect to the horizontal spatial coordinates. The spectral domain solution is constructed in terms of generalized rays.
