Acetone Cyanohydrin. Health Based Recommended Occupational Exposure Limit

Upon request of the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, the Health Councilof the Netherlands recommends health-based occupational exposure limits for toxic substances in the air of the workplace. These recommendations are made by the Council's Dutch Expert Committee on Occupational Standards. The process of setting Health-Based Recommended Occupational Exposure Limits (HBR-OEL's) constitutes the first step in a three-stage procedure that leads to legally binding limit values. In the present report the committee discusses the health effects of exposure to acetone cyanohydrin and recommends a health based occupational exposure limit for this substance. The conclusions reached are based on scientific publication prior to 1993.
