Response of a Uniform Jig Bed in Terms of the Porosity Distribution

The theoretical model described in this thesis predicts the porosity distributionas a function of height and time in a uniform spherical jig bed. Uniform means that all the particles are of equal density and diameter. The model is based on the fact that zones with a certain porosity are generated at the bottom of the jig bed and will travel upwards with a time-dependent velocity.
