Enforcement of Correctness of Conditional Fragmentation Using Predicates onVirtual Attributes

The recursive structure of a previously published meta model for fragmentation,impairs a fully declarative and generic specification of restrictions required to enforce correctness of data distribution schemes. Therefore, the present paper introduces a non-recursive meta model and a set of restrictions enabling to enforce correctness of conditional fragmentation. This approach is based on the usage of single predicates on virtual attributes, inherited from intrinsic attibutes.
