Strain Index for the Uniform Soybean Tests: Northern States, 1939 to 1990

This publication provides an index to the 4,836 different entries during the 52years of the Uniform Soybean Tests for the northern states. Of these entries 4,775 were experimental lines, 213 of which have been named and released for commercial production. Sixty-one entries were commercial varieties from other sources entered as checks for comparison. The tests (year and maturity group), source, and parentage are given for each strain. This index is a reference for researchers seeking performance data or tracing the development and ancestry of the soybean in the northern United States and Canada.
