Conceptual Design Plan for the National Advanced Manufacturing Testbed~Specialpub

The National Advanced Manufacturing Testbed (NAMT) Program provides acollaborative context for helping U.S. manufacturers achieve a competitive advantage. It is a national industry-government teaming program designed to leverage private sector and federal investments, expertise and facilities to accelerate the development and implementation of technologies for distributed and virtual manufacturing (DVM). The objective of the NAMT program is to establish and operate a distributed, multinode, multi-project testbed among industry, government agencies and universities. This testbed will facilitate coordination between individual projects and development and demonstration of industry-defined scenarios which advance DVM technologies to support integration and interoperability among suppliers, vendors and manufacturers.
