Guidelines for Development of Public Transportation Facilities and EquipmentManagement Systems

This report will be of interest to those involved in developing a PublicTransportation Facilities and Equipment Management System (hereinafter referred to as PTMS) for a state department of transportation. These guidelines have been written to clarify the intent of the federal PTMS regulations and to assist in formulating systems that meet the needs of their states. A range of options is described for each of the components in a PTMS, and minimum requirements are clearly defined.
