Modeling Fugitive Dust Impacts from Surface Coal Mining Operations: Phase 3.211 Evaluating Model Performance

This report presents the results of a statistical evaluation of several models211u001efor predicting the ambient impact of fugitive dust emissions from surface coal 211u001emines. The evaluation includes recent improvement s to the Industrial Sources 211u001eComplex (ISC) model applicable to fugitive surface coal mine activities. The 211u001eresults show improved performance by the new model and emission factors relative 211u001eto the original model and AP-42 emission factors.
