Annual NRSA Training Meeting (2nd). Held in Atlanta, Georgia on June 7-8, 1996

The purpose of the grant was to support the Second Annual NRSA Trainees ResearchConference for trainees sponsored by the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research and Bureau of Health Professions of the Health Research Services Administration through their National Research Services Awards Programs. This Trainees Research Conference takes place annually, in conjuction with the annual meeting of the Association of Health Services Research. The trainees meeting is an academic event dedicated to furthering the scholarship of trainees at different NRSA program sites. The conference was held on June 7-8, 1996, at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia. More than 150 trainees and program faculty attended the conference. A competitive abstract solicitation process resulted in 62 abstract submissions; 14 abstracts were podium presentations and 30 were poster presentations. Outstanding research by trainees was recognized with the three awards given at the conclusion of the 1996 meeting.
