摘要

This report presents a method to compute added resistance of a ship in shortwaves. The method is based on the ray theory, in which the wave amplitude is computed along incident wave rays that propagate from the far field up to the ship surface. Added resistance is computed by a pressure integration method. This method is applied for several ship hulls forms, for which measured results exist. Added resistance is also computed for these hull forms with other methods, and results are compared with each other, and with the experimental results.
