Alternative to the Ritz Pairs with the EN Subspace Method

In this note we suggest an alternative to Krylov subspace and Arnoldi's methodwith its variations. For that purpose EN subspaces are defined. They seem to have all the essential properties of Krylov subspaces when an analogy of the Ritz pairs and defined by using the EN algorithms. (Copyright (c) 1996 by Helsinki University of Technology.)
