Semantic Modeling of Successive Events Applied to Version Management

摘要

The semantic abstractions classification, aggregation and generalization areextremely useful for modeling complex situations containing time-independent events. This paper shows that they also can be used successfully for modeling of successive events. Two situations can be considered: ordering and sequencing. Both will be illustrated with practical examples on workflow and version/configuration management. The solutions can be implemented in any programming environment.
