Family Futures Planning. Final Project Report

摘要

The FFPP was developed to design and pilot-test an innovative model program tobring together the aging and developmental disabilities service systems in support of families with elderly parents and adult sons or daughter with developmental disabilities. The goal was to assist these families in planning for future decisions they would have to make with regard to lifestyle choices when the parents were no longer able to continue providing caregiving assistance. There were two objectives: (1) to encourage families to engage in a planning process to improve the quality of lives of both generations; (2) to improve communication and collaboration between the aging and the DD service systems.
