Service Routes, Route Deviation, and General Public Paratransit in Urban,Suburban, and Rural Transit Systems

This study synthesized the operating experiences of US and Canadian transitoperators who implemented three major types of non-traditional transit options: (1) route deviation services, (2) services routes or community buses, and, (3) general public demand-responsive systems ('paratransit' or 'dial-a-ride').
