Clean Air Program: Design Guidelines for Bus Transit Systems Using Alcohol Fuel(Methanol and Ethanol) as an Alternative Fuel

摘要

This report provides design guidelines for the safe use of alcohol fuel (Methanolor Ethanol). It is part of a series of individual monographs being published by the FTA providing guidelines for the safe use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and alcohol fuels (Methanol and Ethanol). Each report in this series describes, for the subject fuel, the important fuel properties, guidelines for the design and operation of bus fueling, storage and maintenance facilities, issues on personnel training and emergency preparedness.
