The report summarizes the Minerals Management Service assessment of thequantities of undiscovered oil and gas that lie beneath submerged Federal lands offshore of Alaska. Resource estimates include both the geologic endowment, consisting of conventionally recoverable resources unconstrained by economics, as well as the more modest quantities of oil and gas that can be recovered profitably, considering the costs associated with producing the resource.
