Assessment of Vortex Solid Separators for the Control and Treatment of WetWeather Flow

摘要

This paper provides an introduction to the technology and describes currentlyavailable units that were evaluated. Design criteria, performance assessments, and a review of the costs of the various technologies for the control of both separated stormwater and CSO (combined sewer overflow) are presented. The report also provides a summary of the performance characteristics, process limitations, and removal efficiencies for vortex separators.
