Food Stamp Program Client Enrollment Assistance Demonstration Projects. InterimEvaluation Report

During 1993 and 1994 the Food and Consumer Service awarded 26 grants to publicand private non profit groups in order to support demonstration projects aimed to identifying barriers experienced by clients in accessing food stamps and methods of outreach and client enrollment assistance shown to help overcome these barriers. These demo projects provided food stamp outreach and client enrollments assistance to rural, elderly and homeless population, low income working families with children, Native American and non-English speaking minorities. This report summarizes the results of these demonstration projects.
