Cohort Study of Current and Previous Residents of the Silver Valley: Assessmentof Lead Exposure and Health Outcomes

摘要

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) reconstructed acohort of previous and current residents of the Silver Valley in Idaho to investigate the long-term effects of lead exposure resulting from residing in close proximity to the Bunker Hill mining and smelting facility. Exposure to lead in the present study was estimated by using lifetime residential histories and measured by bone lead concentration using K X-ray fluorescence.
