摘要

The paper introduces a new numerical method for continuation of equilibria of211u001emodels describing physiologically structured populations. To describe such 211u001epopulations, the authors use integral equations coupled with each other via 211u001einteraction (or feedback) varibles. Additionally the authors allow interaction 211u001ewith unstructured populations, described by ordinary differential equations. The 211u001einteraction variables are chosen such that if they are given functions of time, 211u001eeach of the resulting decoupled equations becomes linear. The authors numerical 211u001eprocedure to approximate an equilibrium will use heavily this special form of the 211u001eunderlying equations. The authors also establish a method for local stability 211u001eanalysis of equilibria in dependence on parameters.
