Building Health Workforce Capacity Through Community-Based Health Professional Education: Workshop Summary. Held in Washington, DC on May 1-2, 2014.

On May 1–2, 2014, members of the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM’s) Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education came together to substantively delve into issues affecting the scale-up and spread of health professional education in communities. This workshop builds upon previous workshops of the Global Forum that specifically addressed the value of interprofessional education for breaking down the siloed nature of health care and health professional education.
