Two-Camera Shearing Speckle Interferometer for Real-Time Deformation Measurements

摘要

The real-time phase-stepped shearing interferometer described in this thesis cancontribute to a safe operation of the aircraft fleet. The development of this system was therefore directed primarily towards the use in aircraft industry. The newly developed shearography system allows fast, non-destructive inspection of aircraft structures. It is much less sensitive to external disturbances than more conventional interferometers, making the system more suitable for in situ measurements. The system has been successfully used for defect detection in a relatively hostile environment and can therefore be used to supplement the existing non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
