Geology, Hydrology, and Ground-Water Quality at the Byron Superfund Site NearByron, Illinois

This report describes the results of a study designed to determine thegeohydrology and ground-water quality underlying a Superfund site near Byron, Ill. In addition to a description of the geology and hydrology of the study area, the results of a series of aquifer tests and two rounds of water-quality sampling in the study area are presented. The types and concentrations of selected chemical constituents in the ground-water system during the study are listed, and a number of processes that affect the type, concentration, and distribution of the chemical constituents in the study area are identified.
