The purpose of the Nordtest project No. 1321-97 is to evaluate different211u001eultrasonic measurement procedures so as to find a practically applicable test 211u001eprocedure for detecting the freeze/thaw cracking in concrete. Four institutions 211u001efrom the Nordic countries participated the work: the Aalborg Cement and Concrete 211u001eLaboratory (CBL) in Denmark, the Technical Research Center (VTT) in Finland, the 211u001eNorwegian Building Research Institute (NBI) in Norway, and the Swedish National 211u001eTesting and Research Institute (SP) in Sweden.
