Safety Validation of Computer-Based Machine Control Systems

摘要

A validation method for safety of computer-based machine control systems ispresented. Both control systems used in specific applications, and control systems intended for general use in safety-critical applications are addressed. The validation covers system aspects, safety functions, system behavior at fault, and safety principles. The two standards EN 954-1 and draft IEC 1508 have influenced the work.
