摘要

The symposium brings together leading experts on the land's resources and theiruses by Natives and newcomers. The guest speakers and the discussion will help Bureau of Land Management and Minerals Management Service better understand the important wildlife, subsistence uses, and archaeological and paleontological resources of the planning area. Because some special-interest groups, the public in general, and State and Federal agencies have concerns regarding oil and gas exploration and development in the NPR-A, which is a possible result of the Integrated Activity Plan/Environmental Impact Statement (IAP-EIS), the symposium focuses special attention on oil and gas activities and their potential impacts on resources.
