摘要

Subsidized childcare services are available to assist low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and families transitioning from public assistance to obtain childcare so that family members can work or attend training or education. The subsidized childcare services are administered by each State and are funded in part by the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Federal program. A previous review conducted by the Government Accountability Office revealed vulnerabilities in the administration of the CCDF program in selected States. The objective of this review was to determine whether the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (State agency) controls for client and provider eligibility determinations and for claims processing for the Child Care Subsidy program were effective.
