Limit Load Solutions for Cylinders with Circumferential Cracks Subjected toTension and Bending

In the handbook 'A method for safety assessment of components with cracks' thereare approximate expressions for the limit load parameter Lr. Some of these expressions are concerning surface cracks oriented circumferentially on the inside of a cylinder subjected to combined bending and tension. This report provides more accurate limit load solutions of these crack geometries compared to, which reduces the conservatism. These improvements are implemented in the computer program SACC 'Safety Assessment of Components with Cracks', version 4.0.
